Liberty Arts Yorkshire was founded in Summer 2019 by Louise Hodgson. After having her two children, and with a background in retail management, she decided on a complete change of career! After working for a pre-school music class provider, and running tots ballet classes, she discovered a love of working with tiny people, but also witnessed the power of the arts not just on children’s physical health, but also on their mental wellbeing and developmental behaviours.
Liberty Arts Yorkshire’s vision is to offer dance, drama and musical theatre classes and workshops in a relaxed, fun and non-competitive environment. The Liberty Arts Yorkshire team firmly believe the arts should be fully inclusive and accessible to all ages and abilities. We want to encourage everyone to ‘have a go’!
We are very proud to have a team of seven experienced tutors, who are all specialists in their areas of the performing arts. With the team now complete, the possibilities are endless…!
