Grant Peterson

Grant Peterson is a teacher and academic in areas of street theatre, musical theatre,  performance histories, and LGBTQ performance and culture. Since 2013 he has worked at Brunel University London where he also serves as the Associate Dean (Student Experience) in the College of Business, Arts, and Social Sciences. He trained as a performer and worked on stage and screen (TV and commercial work) in California (his birthplace) before earning a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London. Grant has published his work in book chapters and journal articles and is currently working on a monograph. He is an out gay man and went through years of treatment for a rare stage IV cancer diagnosis. As someone who was told repeatedly he would not be able to have a family, Grant and his husband now proudly care for twin boys, a dog, and a Joshua tree.
