Daniel S. Teixeira

Project Coordinator and Producer

I have studied and worked in the arts, building a vast knowledge on production and a portfolio of project management in different organisations. I worked in various roles within production, dance, visual arts and outdoor arts.

At DanceEast I supported the Head of Creative Programmes with the administration of the Learning and Participation Programmes to develop a series of high standard community projects. Previously I was responsible for the administration of the community engaged programme at Creative Barking and Dagenham (a Creative People and Places project), supporting the management and delivery of projects, festivals and events. At Rosetta Arts, a visual arts organisation in Newham, London, I worked along with the Deputy CEO. I co-managed a series of online projects during the pandemic, enabling the residents to access the arts and providing underrepresented artists with opportunities and support.

My work is rooted in the relationship of art and community, creating an impact on the public regarding social issues. I graduated from Falmouth University with a BA in Theatre in 2014, and completed my MA in Art and Politics from Goldsmith University of London in 2018. During my studies, I explored the importance of art as a tool to instigate change and the importance as a didactic platform and to provide representation.
