Andrew Stratford

Project Manager, Health and Safety Consultant, Development

Inspired by Archaos, Andy joined community performance organisation Dogs of Heaven leading to a freelance career in production. He joined Walk the Plank in the late 90’s, an organisation that focused on co-creation, participatory engagement, programming and technical production of large scale celebratory events in the UK and Europe, many of which were associated with the Capitals of Culture programme, eventually becoming Managing Director from 2011-2016.

3 years as MD at FutureEverything followed; from 2019 Andy has operated as a freelance Project Manager, Outdoor Arts Producer, Consultant and Mentor. When not engaged in the Outdoor Arts day job, Andy is a keen climber and mountaineer, and in 2019 led an expedition part-funded by the Alpine Club and the British Mountaineering Council (and others) which made four first ascents of unclimbed mountains on the Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border.
