Green Pomegranate/Mahtab Grimshaw

Illustrator, Animation Director, Storyteller, Sculptor

Holding a BA in Puppetry from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tehran University, Mahtab Grimshaw has been a theatre and puppet maker since 2001. After moving to the UK, she spent over a decade in media as an art director, puppet maker, producer, and host, while also teaching herself animation. For the past three years, she has been deeply involved in community arts in Dorset, facilitating puppet-making workshops for families. In 2023, Mahtab was commissioned by Activate Performing Arts to create an outdoor performance for the Inside Out Dorset Festival. She has also toured as a puppeteer with the “Ancient Giants” production at the Just So Festival and Warrington Mela and is an active member of the Kainaat Collective in Bournemouth.
