For the 2021 edition of the street arts festival in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, it is a Viva Cité that keeps the promise of new encounters between artists, audiences and professionals. While taking the context into account, this edition is designed to accommodate as large an audience as possible.

Fabrice Deperrois and the whole team of plastic artists have invented a travelling scenography in the districts of Sotteville, spreading the spirit of Viva Cité at each of its stages. This nomadic project will involve around fifteen students from the Normandy National School of Architecture, amateur participants as well as DJs and graffiti artists.
The invited companies will be at the rendezvous of these stopovers in the neighbourhoods, with forms adapted to play in proximity and in all serenity with the Sottevillais. “L’escale des creations” at Atelier 231, will allow artistic teams to present around twenty 2020 and 2021 creations in the exterior of the National Center.
The partners of the festival – State / DRAC, Region (within the framework of the PEPS – Plan for living public spaces), Department, Metropolis, or even ARTCENA and the SACD (within the framework of the “Space Authors” device) – are mobilized for this unprecedented initiative.
All the actors of the Viva Cité festival thus keep an optimistic course with the fervent conviction that this meeting in the open air will allow us to come together to share strong artistic moments, perhaps more intimate, but filled with joys and emotions.
