The Walk – Light Guides the Way [Dover]

Amal is on the move and finds herself in Dover town. Families gather with home-made star lanterns and together they guide Amal to a high point where she can see over the horizon to get her bearings.

Artist duo UV Labs, based in Turkey and Paris have created a new lighthouse for Dover, built with local people over the course of a week. This striking structure stands tall to the backdrop of Dover Castle, the site of one of the UK’s oldest remaining Roman lighthouses.

Over the course of the evening the lighthouse becomes strung with star lanterns – as it is illuminated Amal understands the way she must walk next.
