Salford High Streets Tour, Salford

This February half term sees music festival Sounds from the Other City join forces with fellow Salfordian creative powerhouses, Walk the Plank and the BBC Philharmonic, to bring a touring programme of music, colour and vitality onto the high streets of Salford.

Each day, from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 of February, the tour will roll into locations across the city with programme of live music, featuring pop-up DJ trailer with a selection of DJs and mcs, live performances including multi-genre buskers and a brass trio as well as giveaways and competitions. So come and join us for a splash of sound and colour on your high street and celebrate the identities of our city’s unique neighbourhoods.

The Salford High Streets Tour is developed with support from Salford City Council using funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the Welcome Back Fund project.

Come along and make yourself at home on the high street!

Wednesday 23 February 

  • Swinton: 11.30am to 1.30pm – DJ Mix-Stress will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by John Haycock, Dischi and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by Reece Williams
  • Cadishead: 3.30pm to 6pm – DJ Mix-Stress will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by Dischi and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by Reece Williams

Thursday 24 February 

  • Irlams o’ th’ Height: 11am to 1.30pm – DJ Jenna G will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by Bee Rosebud and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by P-Ro
  • Langworthy Road: 3.30pm to 6pm – DJ Jenna G will be in the pop-up DJ Trailer with performances by Kyogen and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by P-Ro

Friday 25 February 

  • Eccles Church Street: 11am to 1.30pm – DJ Acid Rephlux will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by John Haycock, Bee Rosebud and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by Sal Maguire
  • Monton Village: 3.30pm to 6pm – DJ Acid Rephlux will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by Dischi and BBC Philharmonic, hosted by Sal Maguire

Saturday 26 February 

  • Little Hulton: 11am to 2pm – DJ Acid Rephlux will be in the pop-up DJ trailer with performances by BBC Philharmonic and more acts tbc.
