Nairn Book and Arts Festival is the annual celebration of literature, art, music, drama and film in the Scottish Highlands.
Staged in the historic seaside town of Nairn on the beautiful Moray Firth, each year the festival presents a unique and innovative programme of events.
As a registered charity, the festival is committed to supporting community-focused arts, while providing a platform for writers, artists, musicians and performers from across Scotland and the UK.
Our annual programme offers talks and readings by high-profile authors, inspirational speakers, new and established writers, and Gaelic language events.
The festival also includes live music, drama and dance performances, film and visual arts exhibitions, creative workshops for people of all ages and ability, and opportunities for children and young adults to showcase their own creativity.
The festival even has its own Fringe, with local creative groups staging their own events in festival week.
Our outreach programme for local schools and care homes includes visits by authors and artists, crafting activities and workshops, and performances by local drama and dance groups.
