Artists Hunt & Darton want to harness the flamboyant imaginations of local children to develop the next generation of entrepreneurs. ‘Kids Business’ lets your children loose on the high street via a series of creative workshops with Hunt & Darton where children get to mastermind the next business venture for Basildon. Bakery, bank, cafe or unicorn specialist, that’s up to them!
For children 6-10 years old. Each workshop lasts 1.5 hrs and will be lead by Jenny Hunt and Holly Darton who will over the course of 2 weeks developed the business idea with the children that attend.
Workshop dates:
Friday 28 May 2021 4-5.30pm
and during Half Term: Thursday 3 June – Sun 6 June 11-12.30pm & 2-3.30pm
The workshops culminate in the making of a real business that will open its doors to the public on the weekends of 12 & 13 and 19 & 20 June 12-4pm.
Children are invited to attend all the workshops or as many as possible! As well as run the real business!
Parents are requested to stay in the vicinity during the workshops. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Workshops take place at 3-5 Market Pavement (Brighthouse shop), Basildon
