Summer in the Park: Queenscroft Park Picnic, Greenwich

An afternoon of family friendly performances, workshops, games and community fun at the Queenscroft Park Picnic 2023!

Following the success of last year’s event, we are once again bringing you professional and community performances, interactive games, talks and workshops in the beautiful Eltham park.

This year’s exciting event is hosted by André Bright. The line-up includes:

13:00 Hikapee – Everywhere’s a Beach
A high energy, theatrical circus show which takes place on a giant parasol!

13:30 Costa Rica in the UK
A beautiful display of Costa Rican culture. Get ready to join in!

14:00 The RCCG Church Choir
Uplifting gospel music

14:20 Traceworks Juniors
Young, creative contemporary dance

14:25 Kerry On Dancing
Multi-generational ballroom, Latin American and street dance

14:40 56 Woolwich Squadron RAF Cadets Band
One of the largest RAF marching bands in London

15:00 Hikapee – Everywhere’s a Beach

15:30 Costa Rica in the UK

16:15 Dancing to the Music of Time
A performance by participants from Greenwich Dance’s community programme

16:20 Waggle Dance Co.
A high-energy creative dance that’s family-friendly and lots of fun!

16:35 Voices of Mauritius
A colourful celebration of Mauritian dance and music

16:30 TARU Arts
Brazilian drumming, mask making and a grand finale parade for all to take part in!

Plus a games area, ice cream, face painting, stalls run by Friends of Queenscroft ParkMiddle Park Community CentreMetropolitan Police Youth Engagement TeamEltham Library Reading CornerLeslie’s crochet stall football skills with Charlton Athletic, a bar run by The Green Goddess pub and a raffle!

The Queenscroft Park Picnic is part of Summer in the Park, a Greenwich Dance and Arts Trust Productions project which is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, Royal Greenwich Festivals, Peabody and The Royal Parks.
