Articulation, Scotland’s advocacy body for the Outdoor Arts, Physical Theatre and Circus Sector, is delivering an online information and networking session to connect Scotland-based venues, local authorities and third-sector organisations with artists and freelancers working across the outdoor arts.
During this information session, attendees will be given an overview of the breadth of outdoor arts contexts in Scotland as well as the audience development benefits and place making potential inherent within the art form. We’ll also hear dynamic case studies from artists and venues who have successfully harnessed the outdoor arts to re-imagine public spaces as places of artistic discovery.
This will be followed by a Virtual Marketplace bringing together Scotland-based artists and promoters looking for mutually beneficial partnerships and ways to share resources to bring their work outdoors. The first half of this session will invite local artists to deliver ‘pitch presentations’ on current works available for touring, commissions or programming opportunities. The second half of this session will focus on a series of pre-scheduled one-on-one ‘speed dating sessions’ between artists and promoters to introduce their forthcoming work in more depth. Please see below details on ‘How to take part’.
