Bradford 2025 has announced its new look, new website, first events and new Ambassador, the one and only international popstar Zayn Malik.
Bradford district’s year of culture is set to deliver more than 1,000 new performances and events including 365 artist commissions, a series of major arts festivals and major national and international collaborations. Bradford’s history of fierce independence and of progressive social reform and its spectacular cultural heritage offer a powerful launchpad for a UK City of Culture celebration in 2025 that could only happen in Bradford.
Bradford 2025 Events
Bradford 2025 has announced three special events for 2024 – each one bringing an internationally-renowned artist to Bradford District and will be free to all.
The Outdoor Arts event is Les Girafes by Compagnie OFF – seven larger than life-size scarlet giraffes will lead a magical free family-friendly parade of performers, musicians and an opera singer through the centre of Bradford.
New Bradford 2025 Branding
Bradford 2025 is set to be game changing for Bradford District. Their year as UK City of Culture will have a transformational impact on Bradford – securing millions of pounds of investment and acting as a catalyst for creative place-making and culture-led regeneration.
Their new brand, created with Rabbithole, reflects Bradford as it really is. Thrilling, unfiltered, and eclectic. Bradford isn’t Leeds, Manchester or York. Bradford exists on its own terms – and their new look reinforces our unique identity.
Bradford 2025 Ambassador Zayn Malik
Bradford-born singer-songwriter Zayn Malik is the Ambassador for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture.
Throughout 2025, Zayn, along with the people of Bradford, will celebrate the district as the UK City of Culture. As Bradford’s 2025 Ambassador, Zayn will be taking part in some citywide activations and special projects that will celebrate all that the area has to offer, focusing on the rich diversity, culture, and youth of the city – all to be announced later this year.
