Exeter | Burn the Curtain are bringing The Imaginarium of Us to Riverside Valley Park today and tomorrow. It’s part walk, part performance, and part exhibition, containing strange new artworks about Exeter, built with local artists in a series of community workshops.

Grimsby | Tomorrow, for Lincolnshire Day, join the harvest and immerse yourself in the tastes, sights, and sounds of a free, new event from EEA called Edible Grimsby in St James’ Square 12pm-4pm. Including lots of tasty surprises as well as live music and interactive activities enabling the whole family to get creative.

Whitchurch | The whole town of Whitchurch will be turned into a stage for Blackberry Fair tomorrow, bringing musicians, artists, performers and environmental organisations together to celebrate the community in one magical, colourful day.

Bournemouth | Arts by the Sea Festival takes over the centre of Bournemouth this weekend, with artists exploring the theme of ‘Play’, inviting everyone from 9 months old to 90 years old to come and play. Christchurch | Arts by the Sea is expanding its festival programme this year with Play Christchurch on 8 Oct. For the first time, Christchurch residents will be able to experience a tailored, playful programme of participatory and intriguing art across Saxon Square and Druitt Gardens and in unusual pop-up spaces around the town. Fun for all the family!

Whalley Range | After 40 years, 100 different original creations and tours to 25 countries over 5 continents the Whalley Range All Stars will be performing their final gig in Whalley Range, at the Carlton Club on Sunday. Brightlingsea | Fresh Air Festival has rescheduled and will be going ahead this Sunday 11am-5pm! Head to Brightlingsea to see Artizani, Circo Rum Ba Ba, Black Eagles, Lemmings Theatre, The Motley Crew, Sand In Your Eye, The Elvis Show, Jelly Rollers, Matt Barnard, Ellena Woolf, Drums Zkool, take part in arts and craft workshops, garden games, and try out some circus skills.

Weston-super-Mare | Come together for Weston’s Climate Carnival this Sunday to show solidarity for climate action and shine a light on how creativity and community can play their part in spreading a positive message for a sustainable and hopeful future world. See the community-led procession, which will culminate in the Italian Gardens with a vibrant afternoon of music, dancing, performances, and a finale environmental fashion parade.

See this icon of myth and legend with your own eyes, as part of a weekend of family activities.

Knowsley | From 7-9 Oct Stadt Moers Park will be transformed to host A Thousand Feet Deep by Periplum, a dramatic outdoor immersive performance exploring the history and spirit of Knowsley. You’ll be taken on an atmospheric journey exploring Knowsley’s myths and folklore, with magical characters calling from the quarrylands – the caverns, mines and secret tunnels where the traces of ancestors’ labour and legends can still be found.

Keighley | The Keighley Arts and Film Festival runs 7-9 Oct, with a wide range of arts, workshops, film events and activities for people of all ages to enjoy.

Hounslow | Head to Bell Square in Hounslow on 8 Oct for It’s Not Here, It’s Over There by Cie Galmae, exploring how people move in a crowd and an individual’s place within a group. Inspired by his own feelings during a demonstration in Seoul in 2015, Cie Galmae offer a sensitive experience of our place in the ‘crowd’.
