Birmingham International Dance Festival continues this weekend with a fantastic few days of free, outdoor, family-friendly performances at Centenary and Chamberlain Squares in the heart of the city. There’s loads to see, including Future Cargo by Requardt & Rosenberg, Up My Street by The Cultural Assembly, Good Youtes Walk by Far From The Norm, Larx by House of Absolute, Humanhood’s Sphera, Stopgap Dance Company’s FrockDandyism by Patrick Ziza Dance, Roll Play by Simple Cypher, Just Us Dance Theatre’s Born to Protest, 2Faced Dance Company’s Power, Queer Through the Ages! by Mother’s Meeting, Out of the Deep Blue by Autin Dance Theatre, Alleyne Dance’s Bonded and more!

There’s a warming programme of illuminated art, performance, and street food in Beckton this evening, as part of Newham Unlocked Festival. Head along to Autumn Glow by Festival.org to see Lightweight by Impossible Arts, The Lips by Puppet with Guts, and Ghost Caribou by Thingumajig Theatre. Also part of Newham Unlocked, Theatre Royal Stratford East presents Fun Palace tomorrow in Gerry Raffles Square and Theatre Square. There’ll be face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling, participatory activities, live entertainment and food and drink for all to enjoy.

Lancashire Encounter comes to a close this weekend, but there’s still plenty to see including Out of the Deep Blue by Autin Dance Theatre, D.O.C. by Safety Catch Theatre, and the Mayor of Preston’s Thank You Parade which includes Dragon Heart Beats by Positive Productions, Jabberwocky by Rag and Bone, Cacophany Arkestra, Preston City Mela, Sound Intervention’s Projector Bikes, and Preston Caribbean Carnival.

Today marks the beginning of Lincoln Performing Arts Centre’s PopOut 2021 Festival, offering an exciting mix of outdoor performance, pop-up theatre and unexpected creative experiences that animate the city. Outdoor Arts highlights include Urban Astronaut by Highly Sprung, Why? by Gravity & Levity, Project_Vee by Pangottic, The Flycycle & Submercycle by Pif-Paf, and Together by Ockham’s Razor.
