Join Rachael Savage, Artistic Director of the UK’s leading full mask theatre company, for a two-day masterclass at Mimos, the vibrant international mime festival in beautiful Dordogne. This engaging and fast-paced masterclass (which runs 11am–4pm on both days) introduces artists to the subtle and powerful techniques of mask theatre, showing how to create characters, develop clarity in communication and devise original work, all without words. Theatre makers will learn to create their own mask theatre and gain a better understanding of movement, gesture and pace, intention, internal monologue, clocking, punctuated movement, stillness and non-verbal storytelling. During the two days, participants will create a series of scenes that will be performed in the streets of Perigueux. It will be taught in English.
