An alternative Lights Switch-On… Transformations presents ILLUMINATE, a night to shine light on Coventry’s young creatives.
Join us at Daimler Powerhouse for a night to celebrate the creativity and diversity of young people from across the city – a time to connect, meet and support Coventry’s growing creative scene. We’re lighting up the Powerhouse both literally and figuratively, as Coventry’s freshest talents bring new energy into the space, in the form of live music, dj’s, dance, street art workshops and much more.
Illuminate is both a celebration and a chance to find out what you can get involved in. You’ll be chatting with creative collectives and youth-led organisations from across the city as this immersive event provides entertainment for your eyes, your ears and your soul. Whether you’re interested in music, art, theatre, dance, or anything in between – there could be a growing scene calling your name.
You’ll also catch the fruits of our most recent Transformations programme, in which participants from our Sound Design and Aerial Performance courses will showcase an incredible, collaborative performance piece designed around the theme of ‘Light’, with training from Media Mania and Autin Dance Theatre.
And there’s plenty more going on across the night. We’ve brought in local music collective Soul Coventry to curate the live music sections, whilst international street artists Wingy and Nathan Parker will be hosting street art workshops.
