Collaborating in Nature: Introduction to Indigenous Perspectives on Climate and Racial Justice
with Dr. Alexandra P. Alberda & Nathan Winterbone
How might Indigenous Knowledge and creative practices inform our work around climate and racial justice? How might we start to build multi-cultural collaborations that also consider land, animals, and plants as partners? The workshop seeks to introduce participants to Traditional Ecological Knowledges and Indigenous arts-based climate action, while providing participants tools to start these conversations in regards to their own practice and how they might reach out to new collaborators and communities.
This 90-minute workshop comprises of introductory mini-masterclasses on Indigenous Perspectives on climate and racial justice, small group self-reflexive activities, exploration of an Indigenous artistic case study, and large group discussion.
Cost: £12 with an allocation of free bursary places available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise.
