3rd February, City Hall & Ferens Gallery, 1.30pm – 4.15pm (estimated time)

Open Forum is a space to raise key issues or perspectives for further conversation. We’re particularly looking for sessions that respond to the title of the conference “Joy is a Civic Force”. Your Open Forum might focus on:

  • How outdoor arts can impact social cohesion and/or pride in place.
  • Success stories of outdoor arts working with other arts sectors, private, public and/or third sectors
  • The role of outdoor arts in major events such as UK City of Culture and Commonwealth Games.

Alongside talks, we are interested in practical sessions that support colleagues do what we do best: To bring JOY.

How it Works

Each available slot is for 30 minutes with a 15-minute changeover. Some sessions will be delivered via wireless headphones, others will be in their own room. There will be facilities to run a PowerPoint, you must let us know in advance if you plan to use one.

If you are selected to lead a session, we will pay you a stipend of £50 and reimburse your ticket. The selection process will be chaired by our board conference sub-committee.

How to Apply

Please apply using our application form, which will be made available upon purchasing a ticket. Please note that Marketplace is only available for our UK members.

Deadline: Sunday 6th December

We’ll aim to let you know the decision by Friday 18th December.
