The Self Guided Networking Game is taking place on Tuesday 3rd February, 1:30pm, 2:15pm & 3pm, and Wednesday 4th February, 2pm & 3pm, starting in the foyer of the small hall in the Guildhall.
What to Expect
Meet new people in small groups and explore central Cambridge, completing creative photo tasks in this new conference activity.
You’ll begin the game by checking in at the gathering point (the foyer of the small hall at the Guildhall), where you’ll meet your group. The group will be made up of 6-8 people, and you’ll decide on a team name. Then, there’s a list of tasks you can go and complete. Working together as a team, you can decide how many tasks you’d like to do. You’ll have 45 minutes to complete the tasks you’ve chosen.
The Game will involve meeting new people who you will get to know as you complete the tasks as a group. The tasks will encourage you to go into Cambridge city, so please consider what you might need to be outside for a period of time.
Cambridge is an ancient city and not necessarily built with accessibility in mind throughout its history. Please go carefully on cobbled streets and look out for your teammates.
This isn’t a competitive activity; it’s intended as a fun and creative way of meeting new people at the conference and learning more about our host city of Cambridge.
Sign up to a group by completing the form below. Then we’ll be in touch to let you know what time to be at the check in point.
Once in Cambridge, delegates undertaking the game will be sharing their pictures via the WhatsApp group. If you’d like to see where they’ve been and what they’ve done, you can join the WhatsApp group here.
