Bringing Public Spaces to Life with Vibrant Music and Creating Free Events for People to Gather, Dance, Sing and Make a Joyful Noise
The Sound of the Streets promotes street bands, outdoor music and celebratory noise, creating festivals, parades, special events and education projects. We also inspire and support children and young people to play wind, brass and percussion.
Our website is a space to find out more about streets bands.
We have created two festivals in Taunton, street band events around Somerset and run workshops and courses. Our resident band Tongues of Fire plays all over the UK and Europe and we run a Youth and Primary band. Our September festival and education weekend are being planned now
