Rae Lee

Creative Producer for Milton Keynes International Festival with 17 years of interdisciplinary arts experience, across circus, dance, and theatre for both the indoor and outdoor sectors.

Rae works as an independent producer and is currently the Creative Producer for Milton Keynes International Festival. Previously, Rae was the Exec Producer for the internationally acclaimed and award-winning contemporary circus company Gandini Juggling (2015 – 2022).

Rae began her career in Stage Management after receiving a 1st class BA Hons from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and went on to become the Events and Creative Producer at Stratford Circus where she managed a cultural programme of work in Stratford’s cultural quarter from 2005 – 2013.

Over the last nine years, Rae has worked across the creative industries, from artistic programming, exec directing, and producing with a predominant focus on interdisciplinary arts, working in circus, dance, and theatre. Rae has an MA in Culture, Policy, and Management and has produced and toured productions on multiple scales for both indoor and outdoor sectors with companies such as ATMA Dance, Seeta Patel, Metal Rabbit Productions, Half a String, and Monstro Theatre as well as supporting independent practitioners with their artistic development. In 2021, Rae set up the children’s theatre company – Theatre Lark with a focus on switching the cultural deficit model to access the rich cultural assets that already exist in society and extend the reach of the arts and those that take part.
