Professor Slug’s House of Bugs

Interactive puppet-packed family show about bugs

Professor Slug is an eccentric expert on invertebrates who helps bugs out with their buggy problems – and you can too!

Get as strong as an ant! Teach a bee how to buzz! And help a dung beetle make a pooey perfume for its big date…

“A total crowd pleaser” ★★★★ Children’s Theatre Reviews

This interactive show is packed full of colourful puppets, catchy songs, and educational info about the wonderful world of bugs.

Puppets designed by Georgia Hill (CBeebies) with music by Catriona Gisby (Elle & the Pocket Belles).

Partnered with conservation charity Buglife.

Professor Slug’s House of Bugs can be (and has been) performed out in the open, under a gazebo, on a stage, in the woods, with tech, without tech – whatever suits your outdoor event best!

The show has toured the UK since 2022, having played to a variety of venues from theatres to parks to science museums to festivals.

Festivals include: Latitude; Beautiful Days; Deer Shed; Geronimo; Great Barn Fest

Furthermore, the show itself can be adapted – not looking for a 40min theatre performance? We also have a 20min storytelling version which has toured with the Royal Parks Nature Roadshow since 2023.
