Socially and Environmentally Focused Artist / Maker / Facilitator / Trainer Who Loves Collaborating and Being Outdoors

I am an environmentally and socially engaged artist and workshop leader.

My favourite projects are those through which I help other people design and create something in response to a theme or place. This could be something temporary and interactive at or for an event, or a permanent piece of visual art which is a legacy of a visiting outdoor arts festival.

My ‘performance’ is leading site specific walks called ‘Walk Under the Trees’. They take different forms depending on the place and audience but always sit somewhere between mindful, playful and scientific.

The format is informal, games are played, poems are written, getting side tracked is welcomed- it doesn’t even matter if there aren’t many trees.

I produce interactive installations which are adaptable and have a range of ways to include the ideas and voice of the local community before or during the event. My current project is sticking to the theme of what is ‘Underfoot’. It can be suitable for small scale events where a hands-on workshop type approach is suitable or robust, responsive light installations built for outdoors or tented structures. I work on these pieces with creative technologies, Balies+Light.

Get in touch if you’d like to discuss a tailored walk or participatory installation for your event.

I have a BA in Theatre: Design for Performance, MSc Education for Sustainability and constantly developing my facilitation, story-telling and Forum Theatre practice.

I am trained in rope access but not IRATA accredited.
