Specialising in non-verbal street entertainment, MADE BY RACOONS, creates shows and walkabouts filled with symbolic chaos, to captivate and inspire.
With strong characters and dreamlike worlds our images say what words can not. Informed by over 6 years of working with the UK’s leading street companies, MADE BY RACOONS, was initially an artistic solo venture. In 2025 it earns it’s new name, reflecting the ever growing team of artists and freelancers that make our work special.
About Jo, Artistic Director
Jo Feijó (they/them) was born and raised in Lisbon. At 18 they move to the UK to train as a performer at East 15, before a quick stop at UNATC(Romania) where they train as a puppeteer.
In the years since they have worked as a parade artist, puppeteer and builder, with internationally recognised street companies like Thingumajig Theatre, Moving Parts Arts, Wild Rumpus, Global Grooves, Salto Arts, Trigger Stuff and Theatre Illumiére.
As a solo artist their work been seen through festivals like Just So Festival, Newcastle puppetry festival, Nottingham puppetry festival, Byker Arts Festival, Saltburn folk festival, Hartlepool Waterfront, Light Up leigh, fmtm charlesville-Mezieres (france), Flying Carpet Festival (Turkey) and Scene+Heard Festival (Ireland).
