Hannah Ayre is has a multi-disciplinary practice, specialising in bringing art out of formal settings and into public spaces. She is fascinated by shape, geometry and colour. Her work is created from fluorescent materials which glow under ultra violet/black light. She designs the work digitally, before bringing it to life in the physical realm.

She specialises in producing socially engaged projects that resonate with diverse audiences, while engaging and uniting people. She partners with arts, environmental and heritage organisations. Together, creating immersive experiences, focusing on wellbeing, nature connection and heritage learning. She strives to create fun, accessible projects which empower participants and audiences while creating memories and a lasting legacy.

Her work as a light artist has led to commissions for numerous winter light festivals and special events. She creates on-site, bespoke installations, as well as sculptures and installations which are designed to tour. Hannah works solo and also frequently collaborates with other artists, designers and communities.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Hannah works locally, nationally and internationally.
