Producing theatre since 2012. Goofus create fantastical live performances for all ages inspired by folklore and myth. Using puppetry, mask and music to create magical experiences.

Goofus is run by Artist Director, Paul Barnhill and Producer Jane Williams. We work alongside an amazing team of associate artists to create original scripts, music and puppets. Paul has a wealth of experience as an actor and writer across tv, film, stage and radio and trained with the Curious School of Puppetry.

During the pandemic, we secured ACE funding to adapt shows to be played in outdoor spaces. Lily & the Heron played on doorsteps, fields and forests and continues to tour both indoors and out alongside our other pieces.

We continue to collaborate with museums, children’s charities and community centres to take our puppetry pieces into non-typical venues. Reaching audiences who may not otherwise experience and enjoy live theatre. Our new piece Beyond the Teapot has played outdoors at festivals and under tents at children’s and community charity events.

We are continually humbled by the feedback we receive from our audience members. Particularly those with children and adults who have additional needs. Our style of performance really connects to this audience.
