Movement, Connection and Play.

Gaia is an eclectic artist from Torino, Italy, currently based in Cardiff, Wales. She works as a performer, movement director, facilitator and maker.

Her experience encompasses collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds and projects in very different settings, including site specific and traditional theatre, gallery spaces, outdoors and immersive theatre, dance, opera, film, photography and fine art.

Her background is in ballet and contemporary dance and fine art and art history. She has a BA in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban and has completed a two-year acting training at The Questors Academy in London.

Further professional development includes courses with Frantic Assembly, Peeping Tom and Theatre Re, as well as BADC certifications (unarmed, rapier and sword and shield).

Some of her latest engagements include projects with Welsh National Opera, Kitsch’n’Sync, Karol Cysewski, Rubicon Dance Company, Alex Marshall Parsons and Natalie Sloth Richter.  Gaia also regularly works a freelance practitioner for National Dance Company Wales and Jack Philp Dance collective.

Her first solo project, Miss B. was generously supported by Articulture Wales through the 4 Nations Bursary 2023. Miss B. toured at Spraoi festival in Waterford, Ireland, Surge in Glasgow, Scotland, and Green Man Festival, Wales, throughout August 2023. She is now looking to meet more people and visit more places!
