Street Arts and Spectacle Artist

I’m a Wexford based artist with 17 years experience working in the arts. An IADT graduate of both Fine Art and Model Making, I have been involved for many years in Street Arts & Spectacle, Community and Youth Arts.

I’m passionate about community involvement in Street Arts & Spectacle and many of my projects have been community led – teaching skills and devising work with community groups. My work relies on the participation of groups to bring ideas to life. Passing my skills on to others has always played a large part in my own practice. Working as an artist and having the opportunity to demonstrate my passion for my art and convey it to others, engaging and encouraging them, invigorates and inspires me.

In my work I want to give people an opportunity to engage with what I feel is an innate desire to be creative, to have that outlet of the absurd, be given the permission to be wild & free and break out of everyday roles and behaviour.

Over the years my work and creations with others have taken many different forms – from temporary sculptures, willow lanterns, large scale props, giant puppets and carnival costumes.

Outside of my arts practice I have experience in model-making for film, TV, and stage – working as props maker and assistant for Wexford Festival Opera for a number of years and in a range of modelmaking and sculpting roles for TV, such as Into the Badlands and recently film, working on Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel.

I am a member of the Irish Street Art, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) and am keen to promote interest and engagement in these artforms.
