Creating heartwarming memorable experiences for over 25 years
We are a theatre arts company based in Buxton. We have over 20 years of experience in creating work for theatres, festivals, schools, and communities. Our aim is to create heartwarming theatrical adventures for people of all ages. Sharing the journey with audiences, artists, and partners on a path that is daring, delightful, and inspirational. A good story is at the heart of all our work. This means that we devise all our productions and projects. We approach each project as artists and scientists; with open minds. Searching for the sparks of excitement and inspiration to guide our path. We set off on each creative endeavour with a sense of adventure, without a firm picture of what the end result will look like, but aware that the journey there will help sculpt, shape, and inform the final event, whatever that may be. Alongside our productions, we also develop and deliver bespoke art projects. From concept through to delivery we facilitate events, workshop programmes, celebrations, training, and artistic residencies.

Lady Of The Loom – Walk about
No one is quite sure where Lady of the Loom came from. Some say she’s been walking these routes for years; others think she’s searching for something she’s lost, carrying half of her life on her back. What we do know is this: she is a maker, a mender, a collector of scraps, stories and small wonders. Moving gently through public space, she pauses to rest, to notice, to listen — and when she does, something stirs. These encounters are brief, intimate and surprising, inviting passers-by to drift closer, share a moment, and carry it with them. Without fanfare or fixed stage, Lady of the Loom creates quiet pockets of wonder, and moments where strangers are connected by a story that wasn’t there before.
