Transforming sites into symphonies to walk within...
Immersive & Interactive Installations
Working with Places, their Communities, utilising Sound, Sculpture, XR/MR/AR, Performance and Interactive Technologies
Aswarm works in collaboration with a small team of creative professionals and a wider network of artists, makers, programmers, super-geeks, architects, designers and performers.
What is an Aswarm Work? • A flock of speakers occupy a square, providing a means to walk within the Twittersphere • An exploded orchestra enables a community to rediscover its Town Hall through music • A square speaks to its past & future via an Augmented Reality Statue of a civil rights activist who breaths.. • A streets’ public-bins are transformed into interactive Beat Boxin’bins • A village green with a violent reputation becomes a Hug-bag training gym & hub for stories of kindness • The streets of Brixton are remapped as SongStreets in an interactive Audio walk App • A touring shipping container provides a place for warehouse nightshift workers to understand sleep • A team of ghostbuster-esque voice collectors offer shoppers in an Asda aisle in Hull, the means to physically ‘hold’ their own voice! -enlisting them as co-conspirators to gather in Voice Park – a public installation offering people the opportunity to play with the Collective Voice of Their City!– we make work – you actively experience! – in the places you least expect!
