Dance Artist - Creating Bridges Between the Visible and Invisible

Alexandra Tsiapi is a freelance Dance and Movement Artist specialized in performance and choreography. She is part of “Vaiven Movement Collective” where she explores her practice through film, outdoor work and site specific work. Alexandra has performed and choreographed work for outdoor festivals, theatre spaces, unconventional spaces, studios.

Alexandra works with movement improvisation, characterization and voice in order to bring to life lively stories and narratives. Through her work, Alexandra looks at dance and ecology aiming to promote environmental awareness, and change the way we see the world. Alexandra also uses folklore, myths and stories to talk about social and cultural issues of our time.

Art for Alexandra is communication and that is what she tries to promote through her work; how to bring people together, how to share the space around us, how to experience as a collective, how to form a community.
