Adrenalism

Adrenalism is a new performance company making outdoor and walkabout theatrical experiences for audiences of all kinds in places of all kinds.

We make work that is entertaining, accessible and is connected to the world we all live in. We strongly believe that the best performances happen with diverse audiences in unexpected places and ways, away from the black box.

Adrenalism is Glasgow-based physical theatre makers and performers Lewis Sherlock and Andrew Simpson. Since 2016 they have been collaborating on new visual and physical performance work. They collaborate to devise original work for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Their work draws from physical theatre, clown, Variety and Music Hall traditions, folk performance, Butoh dance and contemporary European theatre practices. As members of physical theatre ensemble Choral Jam they took part in The Body in Shadow, a period of research and development supported by Creative Scotland. They’ve performed separately and together at Anatomy Arts, Clown Cabaret Scratch Night, Merchant City Fest, Surge Fest, Imaginate, Manipulate and Hidden Door.
