Summer in the Park: Gallions Park Picnic, Thamesmead

An afternoon of family-friendly performances, workshops, games and community fun at the Gallions Park Picnic 2023!

Following the success of last year’s event, we are once again bringing you professional and community performances, interactive games, talks and workshops in the beautiful Thamesmead park.

This year’s exciting event is hosted by André Bright. The line-up includes:

Creative music and dance from Boundless older adults group

Energetic cheerleading involving stunts, gymnastics and dance

14:20 Beeja Dance
Joyful Bollywood dance

14:30 Norvil & Josephine – Top Hat
A dazzling, comedy magic act performed on a giant top hat!

15:00 Kiduku Rhythms workshop
High-energy Afrobeat fusion with cool Swahili vibes

15:30 Costa Rica in the UK

16:00 Dynamix Dance
Thamesmead’s exciting school of dance for young people

16:10 Royal Greenwich Music Service
A performance by the music education service for schools

16:30 Norvil & Josephine – Top Hat

17:00 TARU Arts
Brazilian drumming, mask making and a grand finale parade for all to take part in!
