The town centre will be coming to life with a host of vibrant, free family events on Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16.
Here’s what to expect:
ACTUAL REALITY ARCADE
Time Square
Saturday, Oct 15: 11am – 5pm
Sunday, Oct 16: 11am – 4pm
Remember the classic arcade games that you’d spent hours trying to get high scores on? Now you can play the likes of Donkey Kong, Tetris and Space Invaders for real.
MEET A 13FT PUPPET
Starts at Time Square and finishes at Golden Square
Sunday, 16 Oct: 10.30am and 1pm
Out of the Deep Blue, performed by Autin Dance Theatre, features a sea giant puppet called Eko and a little girl called Violet to tell a moving story, suitable for all, inspired by the climate emergency. If you want to get fully immersed in the story, why not pop to Warrington’s Central Library to hear Eko’s tale between 11am and 1pm on Saturday, 15 October and create your own jellyfish.
GET CRAFTY AT FAMILY FRIENDLY WORKSHOPS
New Art Spaces: Warrington (former M&S in Sankey Street)
Sunday, 16 Oct: 11.30am to 4.30pm
Bring the family for paper puppetry, creating cardboard cities, making sound waves, nature weaving, upcycling and even writing your own poetry to change the world.
