Bolton’s light art festival returns for 4 nights in December 2024

A fantastic display of light art installations from internationally renowned artists will be on display in Bolton town centre.

Curated by Things That Go On Things, the lineup features magical creations from a diverse range of artists, including:

• YARN: a stunning large-scale projection onto Bolton’s iconic Town Hall, featuring music by Ed Carter and created by NOVAK.
• GAIA by Luke Jerram: measuring six metres in diameter, Gaia features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface (compiled from the Visible Earth series) in the centre of Bolton Central Library.
• Neon Creations, Bright Ideas: New exhibition showcasing the fantastic glass neon signs of local company, Neon Creations.

Plus there will be performances from Puppets with Guts and international LED drumming show Spark!

Put Big Light On Festival celebrates Bolton being Greater Manchester’s Town of Culture 2024. The year-long Bolton Town Of Culture celebrations see cultural and community organisations come together to deliver family friendly creative activity.
