A unique theatrical experience amongst the stunning surroundings of North Gare, Hartlepool experienced on headphones.
About this event
A play by Steve Waters and Tangled Feet.
Murmurations has been specially redeveloped for the North Gare area to celebrate and explore the people, the place and the environmental tensions in one of Hartlepool’s hidden treasures.
Murmurations is a guided tour into nature you’ll never forget. A unique show where the audience experiences the action on headphones whilst meeting characters near and far – allowing you to listen in to intimate conversations through the dunes – a woman out to save the sea, husband and wife birders having a meltdown, a man ready to build on sand, a marine biologist’s last stand.… and other invasive species of the humankind.
Through live scenes and songs, poetry and physical theatre, comedy and tragedy, Murmurations explores what we need from nature and what nature needs from us in a world recovering from sickness … Re-written for Waterfront Festival to reflect the local landscape and terrain.
Content Advice: The play contains themes of illness, Covid 19, grief and loss.
