Mouth of the Tyne Festival

Tynemouth Front Street will be home to spellbinding acts from around the world, a jazz stage and a pop-up silent disco where up to 100 people at a time can dance the day away.

There’s an army of street performers including battling butlers, comedy jugglers, acrobats on a 15ft tall wheel and a seven-metre-high rotating hourglass. Some shows will be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.

Saturday morning sees a huge community parade on a birthday theme with costumes ranging from giant jellies, dancing French fancies, hedgehogs, piles of presents, and party animals of every sort.

Over at Tynemouth Station, the popular weekend market will run alongside a community stage, arts activities, and a special area for under 5s and their families.
