Our popular Winter Lights Festival returns in January, thanks to additional funding from Arts Council England.
“Last year’s event really lit Gravesend up and attracted many people to the town, supporting local businesses in the key post-Christmas period,” said Cllr Lauren Sullivan, our Cabinet Member for Strategic Regeneration.
“We are really grateful for the Arts Council’s support that allows us to stage this important festival again. As well as local businesses benefitting from more people in the town, it brings the local community together during the dark days of January, tackling loneliness and supporting mental health wellbeing.”
Cllr Shane Mochrie-Cox, Cabinet Member for Community & Leisure said “We are committed to deliver a range of family-friendly events and activities, as well as supporting the growth of our cultural sector. This event does just that. I hope many of those who visited last year return to enjoy this year’s event, and many others visit for the first time.”
