Get ready to dance around a maypole! Folk Dance Remixed will be at the East Tilbury Big Lunch to teach you some funked up traditional steps from their repertoire, bringing this activity into the 21st century…
Applause Rural Touring and Casson & Friends will also be there for a performance of their interactive dance show Arcade from their Let’s Play THURROCK! project which they have been working on across the borough over the last several months!
Each show features six unique games with a fun and bouncy electronic soundtrack.
Plus there‘s a live DJ set, additional creative and physical activities, live entertainment, sports, and stalls including basketball coaching.
The East Tilbury Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Impulse Leisure, Active Essex and Thurrock CVS. This event is hosted by Friends of Gobions Park.
Entry to this event and the majority of activities are free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.
Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.
