Christmas Lantern Spectacular

Get ready for the magical 2024 Lantern Spectacular, a half-mile procession of candle-lit paper and willow lanterns, starting at 6:30pm, winding through the streets to light up the night.

Adding to the winter wonder, the dazzling Living Snow Globe act will bring a sparkling performance inside a giant snow globe.

The festivities don’t stop there – street entertainment will fill the night, with shops staying open late, Santa’s grotto, market stalls on Shrovetide Walk and Horse & Jockey Yard, yummy street food, charity stalls, and a craft fair in the Town Hall from 4pm to 9pm.

Roads close at 5pm, but there’s free parking in town car parks from 2pm, so come early, shop, dine, and soak in Ashbourne’s festive magic!
