Prepare to be wowed by circus performers Pirates of the Carabina and their aerial show Pirate Taxi at the Aveley Big Lunch!
Performed in, on and around an old-school London cab, you won’t believe the stunts this daredevil duo are able to pull off.
Plus there‘s a live DJ set, sports workshops from Impulse Leisure, games from Happy Go Lucky Family’s and stalls from Aveley Community Forum.
Aveley Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council and Thurrock CVS.
Entry to this event and the majority of activities are free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.
Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.

This is an outdoor event so please check the weather before setting off and make sure you have your suncream or rain macs as required.
The field might be uneven so please take care if you have low mobility and/or use a wheelchair or a pram.
Toilets are inside Aveley Community Hub, including disabled toilets.
Getting There:
BY FOOT – Entrance by High Street or Hall Avenue.
BY BUS – There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue. Bus Number: Arriva 372.
BY TRAIN – The nearest train station is Purfleet.
BY CAR – Entrance by High Street, Aveley, RM15 4BX and the car park is free for all users. There are two Blue Badge parking spaces. Street parking is available along adjacent streets where there are no parking restrictions. However, please be mindful that this is a residential area so please do not park in front of or block driveways. Alternatively, we encourage you to use public transport where possible.
