At the Aveley Big Lunch, Folk Dance Remixed’s Ceilidh Experience will get the crowd on their feet to dance a funked-up folky ceilidh to a foot stomping, heart pumping, big music sound.
With vibrant hosts and traditional style calling, folk formations are remixed using legendary moves and freestyle grooves.
Plus there‘s a live DJ set, additional creative and physical activities, live entertainment, sports, and stalls. You can also take part in free scooter and skateboarding coaching with the brilliant Team Rubicon!
Aveley Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Thurrock CVS, Impulse Leisure and Active Essex.
Entry to this event and the majority of activities are free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.
Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.
