The ABC22 Festival will take place in Newcastle upon Tyne from the 3rd to 5th June to celebrate World Environment Day. It will be situated around the beautiful Summerhill Pavilion and Gardens, an easily accessible idyllic nature haven for all the family.
Some of the highlights include:
A three day ART `INSECTIBITION` in the Summerhill Pavilion featuring the amazing insect art of Tzipporah Johnston of BBC fame, Ed Hall’s Macrophotography, Joshua Alder images of sea slugs of BBC `House through Time` frame and local fine artists of insects.
Stalls with environmental information, local participation opportunities, art fun, games, and vegan food outlets.
Family insect parade, costume making and face painting and music
Street theatre from Madame Zucchini, Bedlam Oz, NWSI and local circus performers.
Urban Oasis Dancing with insects with Simon Tarrant, Simona Yovcheva, Lila Naruse.
Giant family insect jigsaw.
