Returning with a new, after-dark trail for autumn 2022, IGNITE is back at Polesden Lacey. From Thu 20 Oct – Sun 6 Nov, visitors will be able to enjoy a walk through the gardens at night guided by flickering flames and glowing tunnels of trees with magical illuminated installations along the way.
Once the home of famous Edwardian socialite, Margaret Greville, Polesden Lacey was the perfect location for entertaining royalty and celebrities of the time. Nestled in the Surrey Hills, the Edwardian gardens of the estate are the perfect setting this exceptional after-dark experience.
The trail takes you between flickering flames and majestic trees. Hand-held lanterns will guide you through a woodland walk. The fire-breathing dragons are back – and the field of fire is bigger than last year, with over a thousand lights illuminating the magnificent façade of the house.
Enter the walled garden, richly lit by hundreds of flames. Then through a botanical wonderland filled with larger-than-life flowers, all set to a soundscape that will inspire and intrigue.
Take an adventure this autumn with family and friends. Immerse yourself in the shimmering effects of fire and light, in an enchanting landscape.
