Born in a cardboard box behind your local chippy, two circus cats extraordinaire fling themselves 5 metres up their scratch pole for your delight. Gasp at the awesome strength of their claws, the cat-robatics of their pigeon chasing and stand agog as they dance, play and fight cat Kung Fu above your very heads! Suitable for all ages and guaranteed to bring a sea of smiles to your audience! Street Cat Strut is an outdoor family show combining high impact Chinese pole with acrobatics, kung fu, physical comedy and dance. It stars two mischievous cat characters, who tussle for top spot as they chase, prowl, dance and purr their way up and down their five metre high pole. This is a playful, non-verbal piece with a bespoke musical score and a free standing rig.Â
Since premiering at Whirligig Festival of Outdoor Arts in 2021 we have performed all over the country including Stockton International Riverside Festival, Just So Festival, Harbourside Bristol, Refract Manchester, Eastleigh Unwrapped, Appetite Stoke. The show has gone down a storm with children and grown-ups alike.
Based in North Somerset, TrashCat Productions are Laura Moy and Nikki Warwick. Laura is a circus artist and dancer who has toured with the likes of No Fit State Circus, Upswing, Pirates of the Carabina and many more. Nikki is an actor and circus artist who has toured with numerous theatre and circus productions including Kenny Wax’s Olivier nominated production of Hetty Feather.
