So, you have an idea but now what?

For many artists the idea of trying to manage and tour work can feel daunting, join us for a relaxed afternoon session designed to support those next steps.

What to Expect:
Throughout the session you will learn tips and tricks to support yourself as a self producing artist, hear what venues and organisations look for when programming and find out how to approach them to present your work.

This session will be led by Our Access & Development Producer Emmy and will cover:

  • Funding & Commissions.
  • Tech & Tour Packs.
  • How to get your work programmed.
  • Tools & Resources.
  • Q&A.

About Emmy:

Emmy is an interdisciplinary Artist and Organiser working Nationally and Internationally across cultural organisations, venues and unusual spaces.

Originally training in Physical and Dance Theatre, she has since gone on to work as Producer, Director, Performer and Facilitator, for various artists and organisations including; Contact, Selina Thompson, Eclipse Theatre, Z-arts, MIF, Ludus Dance, HOME.

With a long history of supporting fellow artists, Emmy is a well-known face in Manchester’s cultural scene. From performances and artist development strands to festivals and immersive raves, Emmy has developed a unique blend of skills that support her work across Dance, Theatre, Live music and Creative Engagement.
