What is Pram People?
It’s a celebration of community!
Pram pushers are invited to meet in Barking Town Square this August to follow curious and wonderful prompts through headphones, secret messages and even other participants.
Performers from Polyglot Theatre will delight and intrigue, adding to the fun as families weave among and around each other.
Visiting Barking for the first time from Australia, Pram People is offering the chance for residents to be part of this playful and welcoming community project, to connect with others and to celebrate the pram!
Hilarious, serious and surprisingly moving, this immersive, colourful spectacle will activate the Town Square in Barking, and reclaim the pram as an asset to public space and society as a whole.
Be part of the performance with your child or come and watch the live performances.
“It was beautiful to hear the stories and feel connected to other parents. The performers were delightful.” Pram pusher from previous performance.
No experience is needed – but you do need a pram/ buggy / pushchair to take part with your child. See more details below.
It’s free to take part.
Or come and watch the performances – all welcome and FREE!
Please note: Professional photography and filming will be taking place at the event to document the project.
