Babylon Gamelan, Bedworth
Sep 26, 2024 - Sep 28, 2024

A vibrant fusion of art and sound for everyone to enjoy.

Bid a raucous farewell to summer with Babylon Gamelan, a joyous mechanical sculpture and interactive sound installation by Rag & Bone, created by artist Dave Young.

Inspired by Babylon Gamelan, three more interactive sound-making artworks are being created by Nuneaton artist Spencer Jenkins with local community groups. Follow the trail of community-made percussive markers designed by local artist Julia Snowdin, that will guide visitors to the sonic sculptures. From taking part in making the art to coming down to make some noise, there will be opportunities for everyone to get involved and play the Babylon Gamelan.

Produced by Artichoke as part of the Creative Explorers programme, this exciting pilot project will explore the potential for a regular biennial arts festival to celebrate local industrial heritage and culture.

26-28, Sep | 12pm to 7pm
