Congratulations to all the places shortlisted for Town of Culture! It’s fantastic to see that so many of the shortlisted locations already have thriving Outdoor Arts scene, with many programmes delivered by members of OutdoorArtsUK.

And thank you to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the selection panel for recognising the power of our sector to transform places and bring communities together. And Arts Council England for continuing to support the sector in these places.
Outdoor Arts have consistently played a vital role in major cultural programmes across the UK, creating accessible, inclusive and unforgettable experiences in our public spaces. From festivals and parades to large-scale spectaculars and community celebrations, the sector continues to demonstrate its value in placemaking, civic pride and audience engagement.
